“X” platform will soon introduce video calling feature

HomelandX (formerly Twitter) CEO Linda Iaccarino has revealed that a video calling feature for users is coming to the platform. Confirmed: “X platform users can make video calls without sharing a phone number with any other user.”

While Zoom, Apple Facetime, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and many other apps are available, one of the most prominent features missing from the X platform is video calling.

“The rebranding of the site represented a liberation from Twitter and allowed the site to evolve beyond the legacy mindset,” Icarino said.

The X platform has seen a number of extensive changes since Elon Musk’s takeover, and these changes are part of a larger strategy through which Musk seeks to transform the platform into a smart app that offers multiple services.

Andrea Conway reported; X’s chief design officer said in a post that he was able to make a call through the platform, noting that the feature is currently in beta and will be rolling out soon.

Recently, the X platform has launched a profit-sharing program with content producers on the platform under certain conditions. It also added the ability to upload video clips of up to two hours and the ability to share longer posts. .

Iaccarino explained his role in keeping the X at the forefront by comparing it to owner Elon Musk, saying that Musk focuses on product design and that he leads a team of engineers to focus on new technologies.

She noted that she (Linda Icarino) manages other aspects of the company such as partnerships, legal matters, sales, financing and more.
