The app works Share it To provide iPhone devices with a feature that allows users to share music and audio during video calls, and this feature primarily relies on the screen sharing feature for video calls, it aims to improve user experience and communication efficiency.
As reported by WABetainfo, the feature was spotted in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for iOS 23.25.10.72. It will be available in a future update of the app.
How this feature works
Imagine you’re planning a vacation with your friends via video call, you see a video of “things to do” in a place you’re planning to explore, what would you do? Send this link to video call participants individually/or in a group and they will receive it and watch the video, but during those minutes of watching the video, the call will be completely silent.
For this reason, WhatsApp introduced a screen sharing feature that allows users to share content on their screen with all participants in a call, and a new feature that allows all participants in a call to listen to video and audio together while sharing their screen. .
If this feature is enabled, the audio playing on the device will be shared with others in the call. Note that this does not apply during voice calls or video calls with video disabled.
“Adding real-time audio during a screen sharing session adds a dynamic layer to video calls, making virtual meetings definitely more interactive” and it not only enhances the experience of watching videos together, but also helps you collaborate on a multimedia project. Almost.
