What is the way to recover deleted photos and videos on Android?

Date:

Smartphone users often store their photos and videos on their devices, making it easy to share these moments with friends and family, however, when device storage is limited, users may need to delete some of their data.

There are cases where photos and videos are accidentally deleted from Android gallery, but in such cases, users have the option to recover deleted items within a specified time frame.

Recover deleted photos and videos on Android

The Gallery app for Android smartphones has a specific folder that contains all the recently deleted photos and videos.

The folder will store deleted items for the next 30 days, after which they will be permanently deleted, and once they are permanently deleted, they cannot be restored back to your device.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you recover pictures and videos from the deleted folder in your Gallery app before the 30 days are up.

Method 1: Recover Deleted Photos from Android Gallery

Open the Gallery app on your Android device.

Scroll down and go to the Recently Deleted Items tab.

Select the photos you want to restore and press the Restore button.

Method 2: Recover deleted photos from Google Photos

If you use the Google Photos app for cloud storage of your photos and videos, it also allows you to recover deleted items on your smartphone.

Google Photos places recently deleted photos and videos in the Trash folder and deletes them permanently after 60 days.
