Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes’ conversation with his teammates during half-time of the Euro 2024 European qualifier between Portugal and Iceland did not go down well with national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo and his colleagues. Bernardo Silva, Manchester City player.
A clip of Ronaldo and Silva showing the two teasing smiles in response to their teammates in the national team went viral on social media.
A video clip showed Fernandes giving tactical advice to his teammates in the tunnel leading to the match before the start of the second half, with Ronaldo and Bruno laughing mockingly at each other and listening to the conversation.

Afterwards, Ronaldo, the Saudi Al-Nasr striker, left with a smile on his face before entering the stadium with his head down in preparation for the second half.
Portugal were leading by one goal at that stage, scored by Fernandes in the first half, before his teammate Ricardo Horta doubled the lead in the second half.
With the win, coach Roberto Martinez’s side reached the full mark with 10 wins, 30 points and qualified for next year’s Euro 2024, hosted by Germany.
Ronaldo, Fernandez’s former team-mate at Manchester United, became the second-highest scorer in qualifying with 10, behind Belgian Romelu Lukaku’s 14 goals.
