Warning .. “Russia’s ship” flew near the second largest Ukrainian nuclear power plant

Date:

When I woke up Kiev, the capital of Ukraine Today, Sunday, in the wake of several explosions, the Ukrainian state nuclear company Energoatum warned that a “Russian ship missile” had flown at a very low level over a large nuclear power plant on Sunday morning.

In a post on the Telegram news processor, the company operating the Pevdnoukrainska plant, also known as the Southern Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant, suggested that it could be a Kyiv-launched missile in the morning.

Many explosions

Mayor Vitaly Klitschko announced that several bombs had rocked the capital this morning.

He explained that the explosions took place in the city’s Tornitsky and Dniprovsky districts.

He also promised to provide more details later in the telegram, as quoted by the AFP.

In addition, sirens sounded to warn of airstrikes in several Ukrainian cities.

Complete silence

Since last March, Kiev has seen an almost complete silence on the war, especially after the withdrawal of Russian troops from its vicinity and their concentration in parts of eastern Ukraine.

However, airstrikes and explosions continued, albeit at a much lower rate, which encouraged residents of the capital to return after being displaced in recent months.

The mayor confirmed last month that about two-thirds of the population had returned, despite official warnings that the situation was unsafe.

The second largest nuclear power plant in Ukraine

Moscow had warned last April that it would target key centers in the capital if Ukrainian attacks on some Russian lands continued.

It is noteworthy that the Russo-Ukrainian conflict has been going on since February 24, but it is now concentrated in eastern Ukraine, where Russian forces are seeking to control the vital Donbass region, annexing the eastern part to Crimea. South.
