Saudi Yasser Bakhsh decided to deviate from the norm by hiding when he heard thunder or lightning lit up the sky, and he dared to record the rare moment of the clock tower. Lightning and thunder sounds.
Baksh was in Makkah’s Kudai neighborhood during the rains last week and, with his mobile phone camera, documented the historic moment in a series of photographs.
The Saudi photographer told CNN in Arabic that he considered returning to his home to bring his professional camera, but hesitated to do so for fear of the rain stopping.
The matter ended with Bakhsh taking out his mobile phone and taking a picture of the clock tower as it rained down on it, and lightning and lightning followed in the sky of Mecca.
Baksh’s photographs centered on the Clock Tower, whose top appeared to be the meeting point for the lightning strikes that struck the country, in footage that garnered much praise, with views exceeding 5,000 by his personal accounts.
The Saudi photographer’s experience was not without challenges, especially tracking the lightning event with his phone instead of a professional camera, choosing the optimal angle and standing in the rain for more than two hours.
Baksh has been practicing photography since 2011 and works as a photojournalist where he shoots all events but specializes in sports photography (football).
