Maj. Gen. Saleh Mohammed bin Mujren Al Ameri, Commander of the United Arab Emirates Joint Operations, confirmed that the Joint Emirates Shield / 50 exercise aims to enhance the readiness of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces.
According to a report released by the Ministry of Defense, through its account on the social networking site “Twitter”, Saleh said: “This exercise is a true translation of the improved status of all land, sea and air capabilities in the United Arab Emirates.

The Emirati Commander confirmed that they were betting on their military capabilities, describing them as “the focus of the world’s attention and admiration, thanks to the guidance and diligent pursuit of rational leadership”.

The Ministry explained that the exercise, which will continue till January 14, is part of a series of operational exercises planned for 2022.
