UAE rehabilitates and maintains many schools in Amtcross

As part of the UAE’s humanitarian efforts in the Republic of Chad, the UAE Humanitarian Team in Chad has launched a project to rehabilitate and maintain several schools in the city of Amtraks, in continuation of the UAE Aid Coordination Office in Chad. .

The UAE continues its pioneering role in humanitarian work by providing a suitable environment for students to acquire education and knowledge, rehabilitating schools in Amtraks and improving the educational environment.

Prior to the rehabilitation process, the humanitarian team made great efforts to monitor the needs of the schools through field visits and met with Chadian officials in Amdcross to get a detailed explanation of the basic needs and provide them with best practices and standards.

The UAE Humanitarian Team visited three schools to inspect the recently launched rehabilitation work under the coordination and follow-up of the UAE Aid Coordination Office.

The team in Chad includes the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charities and Humanitarian Affairs, the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs and the UAE Aid Coordination Office.

Emirates Red Crescent representative Saif Yasser Al-Afari said humanitarian representatives visited three schools – a middle school (boys), a girls’ school and a primary school – to see the progress of maintenance work. Schools, in continuation of the UAE Aid Coordination Office in Chad, where work is underway. Maintenance on classrooms and other facilities is ramping up before the new school year begins at Amdgrass. Classrooms will be equipped with modern furniture and school facilities, and field visits to schools will continue to monitor the progress of the work until the maintenance works are completed.

The UAE Aid Coordination Office continues its efforts to provide basic needs of Sudanese refugees and the local community, monitoring needs and providing them as quickly as possible, by visiting and working in villages in Amdcross.
