The UAE Independent Accelerators for Climate Change, an independent think tank headquartered in Abu Dhabi and committed to supporting the transition towards a green economy in the country, hosted the first edition of “Policy Hack”. Sessions, which aims to provide an enabling environment for electric mobility in the country.
Hosted in partnership with Peak Mobility, a UAE-based startup supporting the transition from fossil fuels to electric vehicles, the event is the first in a series of events planned by the UAE Independent Accelerators for Climate Change.
The policy hack was attended by a panel of key stakeholders and dignitaries from the sector, including representatives from the public sector, including the Assistant Under-Secretary for Sustainable Communities, Acting Under-Secretary for Green Development and Climate, His Excellency Isa Al Hashemi. Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman and CEO of the UAE Independent Accelerators Commission on Climate Change, said in her speech at the opening of the event: “UAE Independent Accelerators for Climate Change is leading the way with promising actions on climate change.
