The GR plant is dedicated to manufacturing high-performance Toyota vehicles.

The plant has a state-of-the-art assembly system with robots and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) to ensure precision vehicle manufacturing.

Apart from using state-of-the-art technology, the GR factory has master craftsmen and first-rate Toyota workers with skills worthy of wearing the Takumi badge.

Toyota shared that when it comes to vehicle manufacturing, the specialty manufacturer values quality over quantity.

This concept is used in the production of Toyota GR Yaris to ensure and maintain the quality of the vehicle.

As a high-performance version of the Toyota Yaris, the GR Yaris uses a high-strength steel and aluminum frame assembled by robots, saving time in the entire manufacturing process.

However, the Japanese automaker still prefers to hand-weld parts of the GR Yaris by its workers.

The Toyota GR also uses advanced bonding technologies that include factory aluminum and carbon fiber panels.

A special structural adhesive is used in the body of the GR Yaris, which acts as a glass-bonding glue for the windshield and rear glass.

This special resin helps increase the high body rigidity of the GR Yaris.

Once the vehicle reaches the end of the assembly line, a team of skilled Toyota workers inspects the vehicle.

This is done during the manufacturing process to see if there are any defects, and when the car’s paint is checked.

Next, the GR Yaris unleashes 268 horsepower from its 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine and undergoes a final test run on a test track, Toyota says.
