Marwan Obaid Al Muhairi, a member of the Federal National Council and a member of the Steering Committee of the Parliamentary Conference of the WTO, participated in the 52nd meeting of the Steering Committee of the Parliamentary Conference of the WTO at the headquarters of the WTO. During the meeting, Marwan Al Muhairi presented the latest developments in the UAE’s preparations for hosting the Parliamentary Conference of the World Trade Organization along with the organization’s thirteenth Ministerial Conference to be held in the capital Abu Dhabi in February 2024. And arrangements are underway for a Parliamentary Conference to be held in collaboration with the Federal National Council and the Union. The Inter-Parliamentary Conference is moving forward and this conference will be held at the same venue for the first time. As a ministerial conference, with concern for the voice of parliamentarians in this important event.
The meeting attended by His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmad Al Zayodi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, reviewed the UAE’s efforts to host the Thirteenth Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization. The conference will usher leaders into a new era of world trade and the conference will bring together officials and parliamentarians from all over the world to present an agenda for reforming and reshaping world trade. Establishing a global trading system that works for the benefit of the international community and is shared by all.
