The UAE is hosting the first major event while chairing the Security Council

UN Resolution on Strengthening Cooperation between the United Arab States and the League of Arab States Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar presided over the first major event hosted by the UAE throughout June at the Security Council. His Excellency added: “We hope that the United Nations and the Security Council will continue to support Arab initiatives and efforts to establish a coherent and balanced regional system that opens doors to practical and realistic solutions to achieve Arab aspirations in a complete renaissance of long-standing conflicts.”
His Excellency Al-Marar raised various topics, and ways to enhance cooperation between the two organizations, particularly combating terrorism, preventing conflicts by promoting the values ​​of tolerance and human brotherhood, and supporting efforts to empower and protect women and girls. , climate change and other issues affecting the entire Arab region.
His Excellency Al-Marar stressed that the UAE will continue to play an active role in supporting the work of the Council in reaching decisions that contribute to the resolution of Arab and international issues, whether or not the UAE is a member of the UN Security Council.
