Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq has ordered the formation of a cabinet committee to assess the damage caused by the climatic conditions of the tropical “Shaheen” and its various effects on several Sultanate governors.

Various properties in citizens’ homes and governorates are directly affected by the tropical climate, with the aim of providing the various types of support and assistance needed to mitigate these effects quickly. “
The agency added that “the Sultan also ordered the need to expedite the repair of damaged infrastructure as a result of these conditions and additionally took the necessary steps to restore other damaged services.”
The company continued: “The committee, chaired by the Minister of Finance, will be chaired by the Chairman of the Finance and Economic Committee and a number of other members of the Committee of Ministers.
Relevant work, return to normal as soon as possible. “
Early this morning, the National Center for Emergency Management in Sultan, Oman, announced on its official Twitter account on Monday that seven new deaths had been reported due to strong winds and heavy rains along with Shaheen, and that Sunday’s storm had killed four.
3019 individuals, including 2,173 citizens and 846 residents, were evacuated from 143 housing centers fitted in governorates expected to be affected by the tropical climate, 53 of which were activated.
The Oman Meteorological Agency classified Shaheen as a tropical storm after it caused a landslide on Sunday evening.
