The meeting, held at the Governor’s Office, discussed a number of important government issues that contribute to the delivery of decent living and services to the citizens and citizens of the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Council reviewed the Economic Situation Indicators report for the first half of 2021. Includes statistics and criteria comparisons with the first half of the last two years and the most important indicators of the performance of the industrial sector and the growth of government. Services
According to the report, the economic situation saw a 29% growth in the issuance of business licenses, which reflects the emirate’s leading economic environment and the positive impact of government incentives launched by the Council during the Govt-19 epidemic.
The industry has seen significant growth in the renewal of new licenses and business licenses and the increase in direct cash flows in various industrial activities. Emirate’s growth and tourism programs have had a significant impact on economic growth in all cities and regions.
In terms of indicators of national programs, e-commerce, home authentication licenses and the functions of national business licenses saw growth in the new edition, which reflects the growth of local market business absorption and e-government services provided by the sector.
The Council thanked the Economic Development Department for its efforts in improving services and supporting the economic sector.
The Council reviewed the Public Works Department’s annual report for 2020, and included the most important achievements in achieving the sector’s vision and strategy. According to the report, the overall completion rate has risen to 99% with the satisfaction of maintenance and partners.
Projects
Completed 315 service projects for individuals represented in regional residences and completed 292 projects, including government, education, cultural and sports buildings, infrastructure and other projects.
This report includes the department’s smart services, electronic transactions and work methods and human staff development, accreditation certificates, courses and development programs.
The Council commended the efforts of the Public Works Department and raised the completion percentage in all administrative and technical aspects.
