The actor wrote on Instagram, “Please know that I am asking my team to contact our friends at the Craven Museum in Paris, France, so that we can work on improving my wax figure, while adding key details and improvements, starting with the skin tone. “
This came after “The Rock” made sarcastic comments about a wax statue unveiled at the Grévin Museum in Paris, which has light skin and is of African-American descent and Samoan descent.
Yves Delomieux, general director of the Greven Museum, announced that work teams would be active on the site, explaining that “the statue will live up to the expectations of its fans,” explaining that the teams “will also work to transform it.” Lamp because this problem affected the color of the idol’s skin.
He indicated that the US representative would “come back later to see if any further amendments need to be made” before releasing the new version.
Last week, the museum unveiled a wax figure of the actor on social media, sparking sarcastic comments.
In a video clip re-shared by actor Dwayne Johnson, American comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr. said, “You’re making The Rock look like David Beckham. It looks like The Rock is going to be part of the royal family. I’m a little insulted.”
The Graven Museum, which receives 800,000 visitors annually and includes more than 250 statues of celebrities, sparked controversy in 2018 by presenting a statue that, by the museum’s own admission, was unsuccessful, of French President Emmanuel Macron.
Each of these wax figures takes six months to create and costs between 50,000 and 60,000 euros.
