Oppo may be busy preparing for the upcoming Oppo Reno 8 series. In the meantime, you should focus on the upcoming release of OnePlus because the two companies are now essentially the same. However, the company has yet to find a new budget device for the Oppo A series. Today, the company is Leg The Oppo A57 5G phone offers the best specifications at an affordable price. It has a budget 5G SoC, but is more ready for 2022 than other devices shipped with older chips.

Oppo A57 5G Phone Specifications

The Oppo A57 5G brings the MediaTek Dimension 810, which is an alternative to the MediaTek Dimension 700 SoC. It has a high clock speed and a very efficient 6nm configuration. The phone comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB basic version. However, there is also an option with 8GB of RAM. While many companies are sticking to the basic models with 4GB of RAM, it is interesting to see that Oppo is offering more RAM. However, the 6GB RAM variant has fast UFS 2.2 storage. To come up with 8GB of RAM, the company has cut storage corners with the UFS 2.1 standard. If you need extra storage, you can also insert a microSD card.

The phone features a 6.56 inch LCD screen with a water drop notch. The screen resolution is HD + 1,612 x 720 pixels. The good part is that the board updates at 90Hz. This may not seem like a big deal in 2022, but there are still phones with 60Hz panels, especially in the budget class. The screen offers 100% sRGB coverage in normal mode and 100% DCI-P3 in wide mode. The brightness remains the same at 480 nits of normal brightness.

In terms of optics, not much has changed in the phone. The Oppo A57 5G offers a simpler camera setup with a 13MP main camera on the back with f / 2.2 aperture. It has a 2 megapixel depth sensor to help with portrait displays. The notch acts as the front for an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f / 2.0 aperture. Video recording is recorded at 1080p at 30 frames per second.

The Oppo A57 5G runs on the Android 12 operating system, which is another big plus. It gets its power from a 5000 mAh battery. However, charging is limited to 10W, which is much lower than usual nowadays. The phone has stereo speakers, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Price and availability

This phone is available for pre-order in China. The variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is priced at 1,500 CNY (approximately $ 235).
