The new Control Panel and Settings that Microsoft plans to bring with the upcoming Windows 11 update have appeared in the latest beta version, promising an exciting interface with the necessary and most popular settings apps among users.
Microsoft is preparing a major update for Windows 11 that will arrive next September and according to leaks, it will see design changes and some exciting new features.
In the beta version for developers of Windows 11, a new home page appeared, which contains interactive “cards” that allow you to go to the most common and used settings, so that they can be controlled in a few steps.
The new UI will display recommended settings that change based on user’s expected needs and specific usage patterns, providing shortcuts to any settings that the user has access to the most, such as display, sound and search permissions, as seen in the shared image.
It looks like Microsoft wants to use this page to promote some of its own services, as it shows the amount of cloud storage I have in a user’s OneDrive account, in addition to the two cards dedicated to showing off Microsoft 365 and Xbox. Subscription cases.
The list will reportedly include up to seven cards initially, with more updates to come as the company first started testing the feature last June.
On the other hand, another great feature that Windows 11 will receive in the next update appeared, and it is related to the Windows Backup data recovery utility, which allows you to create a backup copy of the computer when preparing to use a new device. Any applications installed on the desktop, start menu and taskbar can be rearranged and restored when needed.
Microsoft says that it won’t automatically install these apps on a new computer when using a backup, but will provide shortcuts that link the user to download them from the Store or the developer’s site to easily reinstall them.
The next major Windows 11 update is expected to arrive in September or October, and will be announced during an event to launch the new generation of its Surface devices.
