The late American star Chadwick Boseman will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk next year, three years after he died of colon cancer at the age of 43.
The late star, best known for his role as the superhero in the movie “Black Panther,” has been named among the celebrity immortals in the historic milestone, which is expected to reach around 10 million viewers annually by 2024.
Other celebrities to be honored along with Boseman, 2023 Academy Award winners are actress Michelle Yeoh, Israeli star Gal Gadot, American star Chris Pine, American star Christina Ricci, American actor Ken Jung, American actress Kerry Washington, pop and R&B singer American Gwen Stefani, Canadian comedian Eugene Levy, American actor Mario Lopez and American actress Sheryl Lee Ralph.
Boseman rose to fame playing real-life characters such as baseball great Jackie Robinson in 2013’s “42” and musician James Brown in 2014’s “Get On Up.”
However, in 2018 people will remember Black Panther the most.
Boseman died in 2020 at the age of 43 after a 4-year battle with colon cancer and was nominated for the 78th Golden Globe Award for his role in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”.
