The convoy of the organizing committee for the Al-Khafal Race is heading to Sir Bu Nair Island today.

Today, the convoy of the organizing committee of the 32nd Al Ghafal Race for local yachts of 60 feet will leave for Sir Bu Nair Island, where it will be held the day after tomorrow. The mighty boat “Zabeel” is expected to arrive at Sir Bu Nair Island, carrying organizing committee members, field hospital and medical personnel to prepare for the start of the mission to receive the participants. Participatory procedures through safety checks and handover of monitoring devices for virtual vision system to captains, owners and seafarers.

Tomorrow, on Sir Bu Nair Island, the arrival of the Supreme Organizing Committee on board the “Dubawi” and the television representatives of Dubai Media Corporation and Dubai Sports Channels on board “Al Shintaka”. The “Quatro Shadow” boat will be complete with a logistics support team on board.

The upcoming race starts on Tuesday from Sir Bu Nair Island, deep in the waters of the Arabian Gulf, to the finish line of the first stage from the Isle of the Moon, and from there to the front finish line. Participating ships are expected to sail around 53 nautical miles, including the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel.

The upcoming event will witness the participation of 125 vessels who have closed the registration doors and completed the registration procedures last Tuesday.

The Al-Qaffal 32 race will be held next Tuesday with 125 yachts participating.
