Tesla lost its title as the world’s largest electric car manufacturer

The company has done well BYD Chinese in the company Tesla Owned by American billionaire Elon Musk, the world’s largest electric car manufacturer by sales.

According to Axios, “The company sold 641,000 cars in the first six months of the year, up 300% from the same period last year. In the first two quarters of 2022, it was sold BYDAbout 323,519 battery electric cars and 314,638 hybrid electric cars.

Stocks soared BYD Up to 36% since January, the company was able to avoid factory closures due to shutdowns.

By comparison, Tesla sold 564,000 cars in the first six months of the year, according to figures from its first and second quarter reports..

Tesla reported that the company faced supply chain challenges and factory closings throughout the year. The company was forced to temporarily close the factory due to the spread of the coronavirus in Shanghai..
