His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, welcomed President Jair Bolsanaro to Dubai. During the meeting, he emphasized the common interest of the two countries in supporting bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation within the framework of available and future opportunities. During the meeting between the two sides, several agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed with a view to strengthening the cooperative relations between the two countries. Both sides reiterated the importance of strengthening economic cooperation, as the United Arab Emirates has more than $ 30 billion in assets and investments in Brazil and more than 30 Brazilian companies. Both sides stressed that this agreement is a historic opportunity to facilitate and enhance cooperation. The two sides reiterated the importance of the role played by the United Arab Emirates and Brazil in their regional context, and exchanged views on pressing issues in the region. They ensured their readiness to hold frequent consultations and serve as permanent members elected to the United Nations Security Council for the period 2022-2023.
