The body of the late Syrian artist Sabah Fakhri will be laid to rest tomorrow Thursday morning in his hometown of Aleppo, north of the capital Damascus.

“Sputnik” learns from informed sources that the body of the deceased will be discharged from the Shami Hospital in the capital Damascus in the presence of Minister Mansour, and the official and famous funeral will take place. The owner of the diamond throat, Sabah al-Din Abu Qawz, or Sabah Fakhri, had a special and deep relationship with his family, including Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and first lady Asma al-Assad.

A source close to Sabah Fakhri’s family confirms to Sputnik that Sabah Fakhri and his wife are very close to the Syrian president and Syrian first lady. A few weeks ago, Sabah Fakhri’s wife, Mrs. Asma, received Fatima Khair, who received special attention and follow-up on various aspects of the late president, especially the health aspect. Sabah Fakhri was one of the first people invited to attend the inauguration ceremony at the People’s Palace in mid-July.

Over the years, Sabah Fakhri, under the guidance of President Bashar al-Assad, has received all care and health care through the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, and has suffered from heart disease in recent days as his health has deteriorated.
