The company works Camel According to a Chinese tipster who said Apple is evaluating the design of its own Internet service provider, Apple is developing an image signal processor (ISP) internally to improve the iPhones’ camera capabilities.

According to 9to5google, the chip is expected to enter mass production in the second half of 2026 and will be manufactured by TSMC.

ISP plays an important role in smartphone photography as it processes the raw image data captured by the camera sensor and transforms it into a high-quality image by performing various operations.

This includes HDR processing, exposure adjustment, image sharpening, noise removal, noise reduction, white balance correction, lens distortion correction and others.

Apple currently relies on Sony’s ISPs for its iPhones, but with an internal ISP, Apple will have more control over imaging lines and can optimize them specifically for its devices if implemented.

Apple is known for its sophisticated approach to hardware development, so expect this new ISP to be an important step forward in the company’s camera technology.
