Sharjah Women’s Chess and Cultural Club was awarded second place in the “Not Our Holiday” special clubs level at the end of the Sharjah Summer Sports Activities held from July 17 to August 11 last year with 17 participants. Sports and specialty clubs in the emirate for ages 7-12 and under-13 -17 years, both sexes.
The club won the Best Summer Camp Award given by a special club in Sharjah Clubs. The club hosted numerous chess, cultural and religious activities as well as many creative events and workshops.
Maida Isa Altafi, Secretary General of the Women’s Chess and Culture Club in Sharjah, expressed her happiness at the podiums at “Our Holiday Kare” and the second place for special clubs, adding: “Being honored and second place is a great achievement. Najla Al Shamsi and members of the Board of Directors Motivation for the management of the club led, to continue the work.” The club encourages us to defend our successes in these events and to put in more effort to win first. A place that reflects our mission in all the events the club participates in.”
He added: The club’s strategy goes in many directions, including sporting, cultural and social activities, which play a key role in connecting the club with the community through partnerships with many companies, authorities and suburban councils and create cooperation agreements.
