Yesterday, Sunday, the Saudi Football Association’s dispute resolution committee decided to ban al-Hilal player Mohammed Kano for four months and not to sign new players for his team for two terms.
Al Hilal has announced the renewal of Kno’s contract, which ends with the current season, until January 2025.
However, al-Nasr filed a complaint stating that he had signed with Kno in the last six months of his contract.
At its conclusion on the Saudi Federation website, the Dispute Settlement Commission stated that No and Al-Hilal were obliged to pay Al-Nasr 27 million Saudi riyals in financial compensation.
In its conclusion, the team added, “The contract with Al-Nasser Club, which expired on January 3, 2022, proved that player Mohammed No had terminated the match without proper cause or proper sporting reason.
“The player Mohammed Khan and the Al Hilal Club work together to provide financial compensation to al-Nasr … 7.5 million riyals is the first payment made to the player out of the value of his contract, and the remaining 19.5 million riyals is the value of the contract.”
The panel announced that the player would be suspended from local and international participation from the date of the decision.
The team punished Al Hilal Club by barring them from signing new players for two periods from the first registration period when the results were released.
Kno and Al Hilal can appeal this decision within 30 days.
Al Hilal is second in the league with 49 points from 23 games, 11 points behind the Al Etihad leaders who have played 25 games.
Al-Nassr is third and has 48 points from 25 games.
Al Hilal is playing its first postponed match while hosting Al Fayha on Tuesday.
