Several Hollywood stars attended to honor the team of scientists (Hollywood Reporter).

The Breakthrough Prize ceremony, which awards big cash prizes to scientists, came to Hollywood for the first time on Saturday night, having previously been held in San Francisco, and the world’s top inventors were surrounded by stars.
The ninth edition of the event, which was founded by Sergey Brin, Priscilla Chan, Mark Zuckerberg, Julia Milner, Yuri Milner and Anne Wojcicki, and became known as the “Oscars of Science”. The Academy’s open house was held at the Museum of Motion Pictures.
Presenters at the gala included stars such as Kristen Bell, Lily Collins, Danny DeVito, Robert Downey Jr., Cal Gadot, Ashton Kutcher, Brie Larson, Edward Norton, Leslie Odom Jr., Chris Pine and Chloe Zhao. Audience members included Christina Aguilera, Vin Diesel, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Mila Kunis, Lionel Richie and Maria Sharapova.
Several scientists who played key roles in developing corona vaccines were honored during the ceremony, such as Drew Wiseman and Katelyn Carrico, who received a standing ovation when they took the stage to receive the Life Sciences Breakthrough Prize.
This year’s festival is known for its amazing design and its rewarding prizes worth more than 15 million US dollars.
The Breakthrough Awards are the event’s highest honors in three categories: basic physics, life sciences and mathematics, with each recipient receiving a $3 million cash prize for their contributions.The Hollywood ReporterMail.
