Expectations for Samsung’s 2023 tablet flagship are even higher. Here’s everything we know about the Galaxy Tab S9 series so far.

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 – July 31, 2019
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 – August 5, 2020
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 – February 9, 2022

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S8 series in early 2022 along with the Galaxy S22 series. However, the launch of the Galaxy S23 earlier this year was not accompanied by new tablet announcements. This is because Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Tab S9 series in the second half of the year, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. Electricity, last October, Samsung delayed making new tablets due to the economic slowdown and weak demand for tech products. As a result, the launch of the Tab S9 series seems to have been pushed back to 2023.

design

Unfortunately, the design of the Galaxy Tab S9 series has remained a mystery until now. There are no leaked renders or schematics of what the tablets will look like. Samsung is more likely to stick to the same aesthetic as the Galaxy Tab S8 series. That means the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will again have a punch-hole display, while the Tab S9 and S9 Plus will go with a punch-hole design on the edge. Of course, these are just our guesses and we’ll have to wait for more reliable information to emerge as design details of the Tab S9 series emerge.

Although we don’t have much knowledge about the design of the new Samsung tablets, we are starting to see some specifications of the Galaxy Tab S9 through early leaks.

Exclusive report from SamMobile It was said in February that the Galaxy Tab S9 series will have an IP67 rating. This is a significant upgrade as Samsung’s flagship tablets still lack water resistance.

Meanwhile a disciple was named Revegness On Twitter, the Tab S9 Ultra will be powered by an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the same version found in the Galaxy S23 series. Compared to the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy boosts the base clock speed to 16GHz and the GPU clock speed to 39MHz. It’s basically like the “Plus” variant of Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line chip.

The Tab S9 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 of the Galaxy devices.

Apart from the processor, the leaker also teased the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra’s battery size. According to them, the tablet will be equipped with a 10,880mAh battery, which is slightly smaller than the 11,220mAh battery found in the Tab S8 Ultra. That’s even bigger than the 2022 iPad Pro’s 10,758mAh battery and should be a long-lasting tablet.

Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Will the base Tab S9 model be upgraded to an OLED display this time around? Will Samsung keep 11-inch, 12.4-inch and 14.6-inch sizes in all three models? Are they all smaller batteries or the new “For Galaxy” chip? These and many more unanswered questions about the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Watch this space for more information as leaks reveal new details about the tablets.

What will the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series cost?

Again, there is no information on the pricing of the Galaxy Tab S9 series. However, we expect Samsung to ask for at least the same amount as the Galaxy Tab S8 lineup. This means the regular Tab S9 model should start at around $699, the Tab S9 Plus will start at $899, and the more expensive Tab s9 Ultra will start at $1,099. However, nothing is set in stone. Samsung may or may not change the price of the new tablets.
