In complete silence, Xiaomi’s Chinese brand has announced the Redmi 10 5G phone in some Asian country markets for economy class users, which comes in under $200.
Highlights of the new fifth-generation network phone include a waterdrop design screen with a front camera sensor with a longer aspect ratio, a seventh-generation processing chip from MediaTek, dual 50-megapixel rear cameras and a larger battery.
The price and specifications of Redmi 10 5G phone have been announced in detail
Starting with the screen, the Redmi 10 5G sports a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and 90Hz refresh rate protected by Gorilla Glass.
The front camera is a 5-megapixel sensor, while the rear has a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 lens slot, a 2-megapixel depth-sensing secondary lens and an LED flash unit. Unfortunately, the phone doesn’t have an ultra-wide lens, which means taking wide photos like landscape shots will be difficult.
The phone is powered by a mid-range Dimensity 700 SoC processor from MediaTek, coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 internal storage.
There is more than one variant for storage and RAM capacities: the first model comes with 4/64 GB, the second model with 4/128 GB and the last model with 6/128 GB.
The phone runs MIUI 13, the latest version of Xiaomi’s custom user interface based on the Android 12 system. The phone draws its power from a large battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh. The phone comes with a 22.5 watt charger in the purchase box, but the phone supports fast wired charging capable of 18 watts.
The phone supports face unlock with the help of artificial intelligence techniques and has a fingerprint scanner on the right side above the main power button.
Other connectivity features include dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, a USB-C port for charging and data transfer, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Redmi 10 5G phone measures 163.99 x 76.09 x 8.9 mm and weighs approximately 200 grams. With these specifications, the phone appears to be a modified version of the original Redmi Note 11e that was launched last March.
The Redmi 10 5G phone is available in three different colors – Graphite, Green and Silver – and is priced at $194 for the 4/128 GB model, while the 4/64 GB model costs around $180.
