In the tenth round of the Euro 2024 qualifiers this evening, Sunday, the Portuguese national team achieved an easy victory (2-0) at the expense of their Icelandic guests at the Jose Alvalade stadium.
The Portuguese national team won 10 out of 10 matches and with 30 points reached the full score in the Euro qualifiers for the first time in their history.
The Portugal national team led Slovakia from Group Ten to the 2024 European Cup of Nations, which will be held in Germany next summer.
Cristiano Ronaldo featured in Portugal’s starting line-up and went scoreless, finishing the European qualifiers with 10 goals, four behind Belgian leader Romelu Lukaku.
Odavio’s shot was blocked by Iceland’s post in the 7th minute.
Joao Felix tried to shoot from inside the penalty area in the 20th minute, but his ball hit the outside netting.
Bruno Fernandes attempted to block Portugal’s first goal in the 37th minute with a right-footed shot to the right of the Iceland goalkeeper, but to no avail.

Portugal added a second goal in the 66th minute through substitute Ricardo Horta, following a rebound off the hands of the Iceland goalkeeper after Ronaldo’s effort.
Despite Ronaldo’s continued efforts to no avail, Portugal continued their one-sided victory against Iceland (1-0).
A Portugal crossbar prevented Iceland from scoring a goal in the 90+2 minute.
Despite the goal drought against Iceland, Ronaldo scored 38 goals, making him the most international goalscorer in the club’s history with 128 goals.
