LONDON (AFP) – England international striker Marcus Rashford has called for an end to “harmful” rumors questioning his future with Manchester United after he missed the Red Devils’ 1-0 league win over Fulham last weekend through injury.

Rashford was forced to apologize to his Dutch coach Erik den Haag after attending a party at a nightclub following a 3-0 defeat to arch-neighbours Manchester City on 29 October.
Den Haag deemed Rashford’s behavior unacceptable, but said the 26-year-old was “very motivated to do things right”.
Rashford missed Craven Cottage due to injury after suffering a “severe blow” in training, and came on as a substitute three days later in the 0-3 defeat to Newcastle in the League Cup earlier this month. A humiliating defeat against City.
In response to one of the club’s fan channels, Rashford wrote on the “X” website (formerly Twitter): “Please stop spreading malicious rumours.”
The “United Stand” account promoted its latest episode online: “Rashford’s future in doubt? We live!”
Rashford scored 30 goals in all competitions last season, but he has scored just once for United so far as they finish eighth after five defeats in their first 11 matches, facing an uphill battle for qualification. Heading into the Champions League last 16, they sit third in their group with three points after three rounds, six behind leaders Bayern Munich and one behind second-placed Turkish side Galatasaray.
