On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a bill to establish electronic recall procedures aimed at increasing the effectiveness of military mobilization and filling gaps.

The Duma approved it

Putin signed the law, which passed the lower house of parliament (Duma) this week, according to a website transcript detailing legislative proceedings.

Notably, Russia announced that it mobilized just 300,000 men last year to support its “special military operation” in Ukraine.

“The Mobilization of All Russian Society”

Yesterday, Wagner founder and financier Yevgeny Prigozhin called for the mobilization of the entire Russian society, saying people were ready to contribute to Moscow’s war effort in Ukraine.

In response to Russia’s new conscription law, Prigozhin, known as “Putin’s Chef”, added in an audio recording posted on his official Telegram channel: “Not only the front-runners, but the whole society must be mobilized. Simple workers who are already ready for this. Surgery”.

“Existential War”

He added, “When we go to the regions, our men see that people are ready to mobilize and understand that there is a war going on for the existence of Russia.”

The new law introduced by the Kremlin aims to tighten rules to prevent Russians recruited into the conflict from leaving the country.
