Salman al-Malik, president of the Saudi Al-Hasm Club, has responded to reports that his club are in talks to sign Jamal’s current Egyptian coach, Frenchman Patrice Cartero, to lead the upcoming Saudi squad. Period.

He pointed out that the club’s management was in talks with Egyptian players: “Last season we had previous official talks with the Al-Ahly and Jamalek clubs to include Hussein al-Shahd and Youssef Obama. Carteron’s contract with Jamalek lasts until 2024.

Cardron has led the team since last March, winning 25 of 34 matches and losing just three.
