Portuguese school invade Saudi league with 6 coaches + Ronaldo

The Portuguese training school won the competitions Saudi League For the professionals next season in 2024, one-third of the coaches are from Portugal, apart from the winner, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Al-Hilal has announced the return of its former Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus to lead the team, and Al-Nasr is preparing to introduce its new Portuguese coach, Luis Castro, bringing the number of Portuguese coaches to a third of the competition (6).

The number of Portugal coaches is likely to increase in light of Al-Ahly Jeddah, Al-Shabaab, Al-Itifaq and Al-Raith looking for technical managers ahead of the start of the season.

Since last season, there are 4 Portuguese in the Saudi league, led by Jorge Mendoza and Felipe, who led Nuno Santo and Al-Aghdoot to rise from the first division, who were crowned with the Jeddah League. Gouvia who restored the packages to the professional league and Pedro Emmanuel who finally saved Gulf from relegation.

Apart from the presence of legend Cristiano Ronaldo and the addition of Ruben Neves, Bernardo Silva is on the radar of many clubs in the current summer transfers.

Saudi stadiums have witnessed pure Portuguese clashes that smell of revenge, perhaps most notably the matches that pitted Jesus against Santo.

Compared to one match for the current Al-Ittihad coach, Jesus surpassed Santo after beating him in 7 matches in the Portuguese league.
