The Brazilian government announced on Sunday that President Jair Bolsanaro’s COVID-19 test was negative, with the number of cases on his panel rising from three to four since he returned from the United Nations General Assembly in New York at the time.
The election results of President Jair Bolsanaro came to a head at the Alvorada Palace on Sunday, with no indication as to whether the isolated president will resume his actions on Monday after returning from New York on Wednesday or hold a second election before then.
On Sunday afternoon, Pedro Guimaraes, chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Caiaphas Economica, announced on Instagram that he had tested positive, the fourth case in a Brazilian delegation to the United Nations General Assembly.
Earlier on Friday, Representative Eduardo Bolzano, the son of the Brazilian president, announced that he had tested positive for Covit-19, the third case by Brazil’s representatives to the United Nations.
Another member of the Brazilian delegation, Health Minister Marcelo Guerrero, has been infected with the virus. The result of his selection in New York after the General Assembly was positive, and he had to be in isolation at a hotel in the city.
The first case is that of a diplomat who arrived in New York the day before Bolsanaro.
Jair Bolzano, who did not receive the Govt vaccine, was seen several times without a mask when he traveled to New York.
He has been criticized for handling the health crisis, and he has repeatedly said he will be the last Brazilian to receive a vaccine against measles. So far, 222 million doses of the vaccine have been given in his country.
