Al-Ahly Jeddah Club CEO Musa Al-Mahani has confirmed that family circumstances led to the team star Paulinho leaving and concluding the deal with mutual consent.
Al-Muhayani said in an interview with “Into the Goal” on Tuesday: “There were circumstances that prevented Paulinho from pursuing him, and two weeks ago the player said that there was a fire in our family home. He explained to us that he wanted to be near his mother, and told us to play his last match, and then talk, and after the meeting he told us that he could not serve the team and that he should return to Brazil, and the relationship ended with all affection and respect.
He added: Paulinho was positive throughout his tenure and constantly encouraged his teammates, and the player was happy with us, it was clear in the dressing room that he always talked to us and the coach about his ambitions and goals. To take a vacation in Brazil and resume, the player offered us several options, but after talking to his mother’s doctor, he insisted on leaving, and we responded to his wishes, all done with kindness and respect.
Al-Muhayani The Brazilian player gave up all his arrears and received his first month’s salary, and his agent avoided the commission, adding: After the deal was finalized, Paulinho booked a private flight, which he will depart for Brazil on Thursday.
Al-Ahly, the club’s chief executive, stressed that Paulinho could be replaced by the best in the future.
