Oppo’s upcoming Reno8 series launch event is scheduled to take place today, July 18. Oppo has managed to generate buzz and excitement about the launch and upcoming devices.
The smartphone manufacturer is expected to launch two new devices under the Reno 8 series, the Oppo Reno 8 and the Oppo Reno 8 Pro. It is already Reno8 series It was launched in China in May this year. For India, most of the specifications will remain the same, but there will be some major changes, which has excited all the people and tech enthusiasts alike.

Oppo Reno8 series: Release date, time and where to watch

Oppo Reno8 Series: Expected Price in India
A recent leak from a trusted tip suggested that the base 8GB+128GB variant of the Reno8 5G will start at Rs 29,990. Next, the 8GB + 256GB variant of the Reno8 5G is expected to be priced at Rs 31,990. Next, there is the 12GB + 256GB variant priced at Rs 33,990.
The Reno8 Pro 5G will be released in only one variant which will be configured in 12GB + 256GB. This variant is priced at Rs 44,990.
Oppo Reno8 Series: Specifications and Expected Features
The OPPO Reno 8 In China, it comes with a 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen. The screen supports a refresh rate of 90Hz and a peak brightness of 800nits. It is also possible that the Indian device will get the same screen.
The Indian version of the phone will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC. The device will get up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
In terms of cameras, the Reno8 will get a triple camera setup, with the primary sensor being a 50MP unit. We get a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For the front camera, we get a 32 MP fixed focus camera.
As for the battery, we get a Li-Po 4500 mAh battery with support for Oppo’s VOOC charging technology, which is basically 80W fast charging. Oppo claims that it can charge the device from zero to 100 percent in 28 minutes.
On the other hand, the Oppo Reno8 Pro comes with a 6.62-inch Full-HD + AMOLED HDR10 + certified display. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits.
The Indian version of the Reno8 Pro will get the Snapdragon 8100-Max SoC. It will also support MediaTek HyperEngine 5.0 gaming technology that offers improvements in the form of the latest AI-VRS graphics enhancements. It also packs 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage
The Reno8 Pro is equipped with a superconducting cooling system based on superconducting graphite, which is said to improve cooling efficiency by 45 percent over conventional graphite.
In terms of cameras, the Reno8 Pro will get a triple camera setup, with the primary sensor being a 50MP unit. We get an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For the front camera, we get a 32 MP fixed focus camera.
You get the same 4,500mAh Li-Po battery, the same battery management system and fast charging. Oppo claims that the Reno8 Pro can charge from zero to 100 percent in 31 minutes.
