Yesterday, Monday, the Saudi Theater and Performing Arts Authority announced that Saudi theaters will begin showing a lyrical play titled “The Expanse of Our Commentators’ Glories,” which is hailed as the kingdom’s first lyrical play. Shown on the Foundation Day 2023, the play is inspired by the history and glories of Saudi Arabia since its establishment and includes popular poetic commentary by describing the most important historical changes within a lyrical form by a group of well-known poets, namely: Prince Abdul Rahman bin Musayat bin Abdulaziz, Jasim Al- Sahi, Fahd Affat, Fawaz al-Labun, Hadem al-Zahrani, Muhammad Jafar al-Harbi, Sultan al-Saban, Sultan al- Tait, Yahya Rayani and Turki Hamdan al-Anasi. The play was directed by the artist Amr al-Hamoud and featured the participation of many famous singers and theater stars.
Poet Prince Abdul Rahman bin Musaed wrote on his Instagram account: “Our commentators are an extension of pride in Saudi cinemas from September 18 to 22.”
Artist Elham Ali also expressed his happiness on the matter on his Instagram account: “There is no more beautiful message than Saudi National Day… The drama of our female commentators is an extension of pride. Cinema, 18th to 22nd September… an epic creation now in your hands.
An elite group of singing stars participated in the play “Our Commentators Expanse of Glory”, including Ayed, Omaima Talib, Fouad Abdel Wahed, Soha Al Masri, Nasser Nayef, Fahad Al Omari, Iman Al Shamaidi and Zeena Imad. Artists Rashid Al Shamrani, Aseel Omran, Ilham Ali and Ayman Mutahar.
