Al-Ittihad engaged in serious and strong negotiations with Liverpool to sign Salah, but the negotiations did not succeed, so the Egyptian player continued with his English team.
Anmar al-Hayli said during the reports of the “Sada al-Maleb” project: “I believe that Saad al-Ladez, being the director of the project and owning all the documents and everything, will appear very transparent.”
He continued: “We asked to add De Bruyne, Marquinhos and Ilkay Gundogan before joining Barcelona and the response from the recruitment program is that Al-Ittihad has not been allocated a budget this summer and we have documents and other information. We can review.”

The confederation chairman concluded his statements by saying: “The confederation’s negotiations with Liverpool to sign Mohamed Salah continued through the recruitment process and at the end of the negotiations we were informed that there was no budget for the recruitment of Salah. So the deal failed.
