Newcastle United vs Borussia Dortmund 0-1 in the Champions League

Borussia Dortmund won at the expense of its host Newcastle United 1-0 during the match between them at St James’ Park on Wednesday evening in the third round of Group Six of the Champions League for the current season 2023-24.


Felix Nmecha scored Borussia Dortmund’s goal in the 45th minute of the match at the Newcastle United stadium and in front of their fans.

Borussia Dortmund managed to secure a win and revive their hopes of qualifying again after missed victories in the last two rounds.


As a result, Newcastle United have 4 points from one win, one draw and one loss, scoring 4 goals and conceding 2 to drop to second place in Group F standings with 4 points.


Borussia Dortmund moved up to third place in the Champions League Group F table with 4 points, one win, one draw, one loss, one goal scored and two goals conceded.

Paris Saint-Germain lead Group F after picking up sixth point in the Champions League, while Milan are bottom of the table with two points.


Historically, the two teams have never met before in any official competition, be it the Champions League or any of the official competitions prior to today’s match.
