Moroccan student Hiba Ferchioui is the queen of African mathematics and ranked third in the world at the Morocco 2023 International Mathematical Olympiad.

Morocco shone at the World Mathematical Olympiad 2023 in Japan, where student Ayman Riad El-Soul won the bronze medal. The national team scored a total of 83 points, and Ayman Riad El-Soul played a key role in achieving this feat, scoring 18 points to earn him the bronze medal.

The honorable results of the Moroccan team at the 2023 Mathematical Olympiad were marked by an impressive distribution of points among distinguished players. Ayman Riad El-Solh, a student from the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region, took first place with 18 points, giving him a well-deserved bronze medal.

Zakaria Drew from Draa-Tafilalet region distinguished himself with his outstanding performance, scoring 17 points, which earned him an honorable mention. Also, Yasser Abu Sir from Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima scored 15 excellent points and was awarded with honorable mention.

Intelligence and creativity are not limited to these players, but Heba Al-Farshawi from Souz region – Heba Al-Farshawi from Al-Masa region was distinguished by her outstanding performance, which qualified her to receive 13 points with an honorable distinction.

In the same context, the Moroccan national team topped the OPAM 2023 Mathematical African Olympiad, while Hiba Ferchioui, a student from the Golan Merit High School in the Chtouka Ait Baha Regional Directorate of the Souze-Massa Region, was crowned the “Queen of African Mathematics”.

Thanks to his great contribution and efforts, the Moroccan national team has recorded an outstanding performance in this important global tournament. These results show the level of academic achievement and the strong preparedness of the national team in the field of mathematics.
