Mohammed bin Saeed mourns death of former Director of Urban Planning in Abu Dhabi

Sheikh Mohammed bin Saeed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, was accompanied by Dr. Inji, former Director of the Urban Planning Department in Abu Dhabi. Abdul Rahman Hassanin Makloof mourned their passing.

Biography

Dr. Abd al-Rahman Makhlouf, who grew up in an ancient family in Upper Egypt, is in the village of Bani Uday, which sanctifies science and enhances its value. His brothers Al-Azhar and graduates of the House of Science, engineering, economics and political science.

Urban planning

He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Cairo, in 1950 with a degree in Architecture, and after a doctorate from the University of Munich in 1975 was appointed Assistant Teacher and later Faculty. He was appointed to the United Nations as an urban expert. Planned in Saudi Arabia from 1959 to 1963, during which time he founded an urban planning agency and completed urban planning plans for each of the cities of Jeddah, Mecca, Medina and Yanbu.

In 1964, he first carried out scientific research on the conditions and future of the integrated urban areas of Cairo and Giza, and developed a future plan for them, in which he proposed the desert cities located on Suez and Foum Road. As well as the Ring Road around Cairo, two years later he was appointed Director General of the Urban Planning Department for the Cairo Grant.

Abu Dhabi and Al Ain

Dr. In his book, The Journey of Urban Life, Maghloff described the beginning of his visit to Abu Dhabi, saying, “May God have mercy on him:” In 1968, Sheikh Saeed asked the United Nations to send an urban planning expert to assist in the preparation of Abu Dhabi’s General Plan. Leadership

In his book, A Lifetime Journey with Urbanism, McLeof focuses on the journey of his half-century-long struggle in the fields of urbanization and urban planning. Childhood and graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University. In Abu Dhabi, he devoted a large part of his book, May God have mercy on the dead, forgive him and calm him down.

Awards

Dr. Abdul Rahman Maklouf received the Abu Dhabi Award in its fifth session in 2010 and received the award from the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammed bin Saeed Al Nahyan. His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman on the Parade of Half Century Achievements.
