Microsoft fixes problem affecting AMD systems Technology and Cars

Date:

Amman – Microsoft has fixed a long-standing bug in Windows 11 with November patch KB5032190 that caused AMD GPU settings to reset on every restart.

After installing the patch, the operating system does not reset custom GPU settings to default values.

The issue was first reported by users on September 26 who found that Windows 11 automatically resets custom settings for AMD GPUs on every restart.

Microsoft fixed compatibility issues on AMD systems with the November 2023 patch for Windows 11 for versions 23H2 and 22H2.

This means that Windows now remembers AMD’s settings preferences, and you won’t lose customization or performance-related settings on every reboot.

Users with Adrenalin version 23.10.2 or later see improvements with Windows 11 with November patch KB5032190.

Microsoft adds this patch to the Media Creation Tool in Windows 11 (23H2).

Some users pointed out that Windows Update doesn’t solve the problem for everyone, and some users face the frustrating problem of resetting AMD settings, however Windows 11 Update is not responsible for this situation and the issue may be related in this case. Another reason.

The November patch KB5032190 brought new issues, namely a bug that caused computers to crash on reboot. In some cases, your computer may fail to apply the update during installation and fail again after restarting.

One user said: “Last week my device started restarting problems for some inexplicable reason; It failed to load the operating system and the screen shows windows restart problem.

He added: “Safe mode works, however the troubleshooters didn’t find any problems and I found that uninstalling the latest update allowed the device to work again.”

Another user confirmed that Windows 11 causes a few restarts before rolling back the update.

Microsoft acknowledged the two known issues in a support document and explained that it is fixing the issues in a new update for Windows that will be released in the coming months.
