Dr. Manar Khanem, member of the Meteorological Authority’s media center, revealed details of the El Niño climate phenomenon associated with high temperatures in summer.
Dr. Manar Khanem, during a telephone interview with journalist Rasha Magdi on the Tahrir Hall program on Sada al-Balad channel, said that it is “El Nino” – a climate pattern that occurs every two to seven years, and with changes in the rate of rain and floods in areas such as the United States and Indonesia. , there is a change in the weather pattern.
Manar Ghanem continued: “The El Nino phenomenon affects the rise in temperature, but we do not feel it in Egypt, and the most affected countries in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, it lasts for about a year.”
Manar Khanem continued: The reason for the high temperatures in the past days has nothing to do with the El Nino phenomenon, especially after the temperature reached 36 degrees Celsius, but the high humidity felt the temperature rise above the normal rate. Normal in summer.
A member of the Meteorological Center’s media center also noted: “The coming days will see mostly stable temperatures, but high humidity will continue as July and August are the peak of the year’s high temperatures. India’s seasonal slowdown and stabilization of weather will begin from next Monday.”
Manar Ghanem concluded: “On Saturday, there will be disturbances in sea navigation and waves that can reach 3 meters, while staying in a well-ventilated atmosphere avoiding direct exposure to sunlight at noon.”
