French star Kylian Mbappe wished Argentine star Lionel Messi on his 36th birthday with emotional words through his account on the “Instagram” application.
Mbappe was part of the French national team that lost to Messi-led Argentina in the final of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
But Mbappe reviewed his close relationship with the Argentine star, who joined him at French side Paris Saint-Germain, and wished him well on his 36th birthday today, Saturday.
Mbappe said in a post on Instagram: “Congratulations to the legend” and posted a picture of himself and Messi holding hands during the 2022 World Cup final.
Mbappe said: “I wish you a great day with your family and friends,” and thanked Paris Saint-Germain for joining Messi for two years.
Mbappe, 24, who won the 2018 World Cup with the French national team, has revealed that he wants to leave the club after his current contract with Saint-Germain expires on June 30, 2024.
Messi’s contract with the club expires at the end of this June, and a few days ago he announced his move to Inter Miami.
Messi moved from Spain’s Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain after facing a financial crisis that prevented him from renewing his contract with the Argentine star.
Mbappe said: “I learned a lot from you as a player, as a friend, as a competitor and as a person. I am grateful to you for that”.
Mbappe wished Argentina star Messi success in his new adventure on football pitches.
