Australian cyclist Michael Matthews won the 14th stage of the Tour de France.
Australian cyclist Michael Matthews won stage 14 of the Tour de France on Saturday.
Matthews, 31, completed the 192.5km race in 4h 30m 53s, 15 seconds ahead of Italian Alberto Pettiol in second place. France’s Thibaut Pinault was third, 34 seconds behind first.
With the win, Matthews took his fourth Tour de France victory and his first in five years.
At the general classification level, Danish Jonas Weingegaard led the general classification with a lap of 55 hours, 31 minutes and one second, two minutes and 22 seconds ahead of Slovenian Tate Bokacher.
