Is YouTube preparing a feature that lets you sort old channel videos? Anyway, this is what the appearance of this button means to some users after it disappeared some time ago. For now, the option seems to be still in the testing phase.
When you discover a new YouTube channel, you may need to find more videos from the same creator. Unless the videographer in question has released hundreds of videos since their debut, you may want to view all of their content in order of release. Only here, YouTube doesn’t make it easy for you.
While chronological order of videos in a channel has been around for a long time, YouTube removed this feature some time ago. The platform has long attributed the disappearance to a bug, showing no sign of wanting to reintegrate it into its app, much to the dismay of users.
This sorting feature will return to YouTube soon
If you’ve been a long-time follower of this sorting method, we have good news for you: YouTube is bringing it back soon. In fact, many Reddit users have noticed that the old tab has reappeared on some channels, allowing them to directly view the first videos posted by the creator.
This tab appears in version 18.23.35 of the Android and iOS apps and doesn’t seem to have been released to the web version yet. Also, not all users have access to it, and the tab is currently only displayed on selected channels. So it’s hard to say for sure right now that YouTube actually intends to bring this feature back to the general public.
