He served as Urban Lecturer in Architecture at the University of the UAE between 1983 and 1985, and was honored with the Abu Dhabi Award in its fifth session in 2010, and received the award from Sheikh Mohammed bin Saeed Al. Nahyan, in recognition of his contribution to building the urban renaissance seen in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
