Since May, the world’s fifth-ranked Tsitsipas and American-born Padosa, once the world’s second-ranked pair, have become a highly fashionable pairing.
This is because they have a joint account on the Instagram site called “Tsitsidosa”, the defining phrase for the account is “two close friends and spiritual twins, no less, no”.
They have around 59,000 followers on their account and recently posted pictures of them practicing in a swimming pool in Dubai and taking selfies on the main court.
And commenting on a film that brought them together, they wrote, “Zero big matches in a film, but wait, love conquers all.”
Thanks for the loss of Anas
Tsitsipas recently told the Greek sports website “SDNA” that the relationship started after he sent a message to Patousa congratulating him on his victory over Tunisia’s Ans Japier in the Rome tournament.
“It was destined,” the 24-year-old said. “I feel like I’m in love for the first time in my life. I never expected this to happen and it gives me a new perspective on life.”
And spectators at the cold-weather All England Club will get the chance to watch the pair warm up during their campaigns at Wimbledon.
After a marathon victory, the Greek defeated Austrian Dominic Thiem in five sets in the first round. As for Padosa, she defeated American Alison Riske in two clean sets.
Golden couple
They won’t be the only golden couple at Wimbledon. They are represented by British Katie Boulder and Australian Alex De Minor, who have been dating for two years.
The couple lives in a rented house near the venue of the third Grand Slam tennis tournament.
“I feel like we’re constantly cheering each other on,” Poulter, 26, said. “I’ve learned a lot from him as a person and as a player. I’m very lucky to have someone who is intelligent and knows emotions. I go on and off the field.
“He’s a great player and as you can see from his ratings, he does it week in and week out. I have a lot to learn from him. I’m doing my best to watch what he does and follow him.”
They are not alone
Britain’s Judy Burrike won her first Grand Slam match on Monday, putting her on the cusp of breaking into the world’s top 100.
The 24-year-old has been in a relationship with Scottish international rugby player Ben White for two years and they share a house in Richmond, south-west London.
But White (25 years) will play next season with French Toulon, after his club “London Irish” was suspended due to financial problems.
“He’s very excited. It’s hard because I don’t go with him. My house is here, my training is here,” Bouraig said.
He added, “We always say we will do our best for our playing career. We always put it first. We have a better understanding of it. That’s why we get along well.” The south of France isn’t a bad place to visit.”
