A day after al-Qassam forces launched a military operation called al-Aqsa Flood, which surprised the occupation and captured dozens of soldiers, the Israeli occupation army announced the start of evacuation of residents of the Gaza Strip, anticipating tough days ahead.

Army spokesman Daniel Hagari told reporters, “Our mission in the next 24 hours is to evacuate all residents of the Gaza Strip,” and Hagari confirmed that fighting was continuing to “save hostages” held by the Palestinian resistance.

Hagari pointed out that his forces are constantly searching for terrorists in 7 locations and that there are tens of thousands of troops in the settlements around the Gaza Strip.

The army said in a statement that it was able to regain control of most of the sites hit, according to the official broadcaster, and Israeli Channel 12 reported that fighting was still ongoing in the settlement of Biri. Residents of the Eshkol neighborhood in the Gaza Strip are talking about new infiltration by militants into the area.

Israeli Channel 14 reported a firefight between Israeli forces and the opposition in the Yat settlement in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army said it encountered Palestinian militants trying to infiltrate the Ein Hafser settlement in the Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), launched an unprecedented military operation against Israel yesterday morning, Saturday, which included firing thousands of rockets, infiltrating and attacking settlements, including some 300 Israelis. Israeli reports said he was killed.

In a related context, the Israeli Ministry of Health announced that the number of infected has risen to 1,864 Israelis, including 19 in critical condition, 326 in critical condition and 359 in moderate condition.
