Introducing the latest lighting and guidance systems on the runway of Abu Dhabi Airport

Abu Dhabi Airports has unveiled the Advanced Surface Operational Guidance and Control System (A-SMGCS) at Abu Dhabi International Airport. The system is the first and most advanced in the Middle East and is the latest proof of its use of the latest technologies to provide its passengers with a safe, smooth travel experience and enhance the quality of operational efficiency and stability. This new technology will uniformly enhance the experience of passengers and pilots, as it will use guidance systems and airport control to illuminate runways at night or ensure that pilots can easily spot and depart runways in low visibility conditions such as fog. Designed by ADB SAFEGATE, a leading airport solutions provider in the industry, the new Level 4 Advanced Surface Motion Guidance and Control System (A-SMGCS) enables conflict resolution, automated planning and guidance in all weather conditions, enhancing environmental awareness. As well as pilots.
